I went to JAM tonight and we talked about next weekend’s trip to Ocean City! I’m really excited even though Kelsey isn’t going. She was supposed to come but I think she has a lot of homework. Well it’s okay because Nhi and Julie will be there and so will Logan, Anh, Brandon, Steven, and Thang. It’s going to be fun especially the car ride up and back. We are going on a mission trip this summer to Vermont which is like a 10 hour car ride and they are the best! We get to bond because it is the last mission trip ever for me before I go to college. And Julie and I have gone on every single one since we were 11 (except I didn’t go on the one last year because I had camp). Our first one was in Pennsylvania at Eastern University and I remember that was the year everyone went including these girls Julie and I roomed with, Melissa and Shannon. Shannon just got pregnant and dropped out of college and I think Melissa is having her second baby even though she’s like 19 and gave the first one up for adoption. It’s sad because I remember when they were like 13 and 14 and hung out with Julie and I.

St. Patrcik's Day (Day 195)
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I had to catch up on my homework today (I’m so far behind) and then do the chores that I had been neglecting around the house. Like picking up the yard, vacuuming, emptying the trash, etc. I just realized how much stuff I hadn’t done. And there was still a lot more to do. Sometimes I feel like I am never going to catch up. And then I do, and one week later, I have the same or more to do with less time. YOLO! But since I am only a teenager, nobody understands how much pressure I have to be perfect. Most of that pressure is from me, but other people don’t understand that they cannot expect me to be perfect and then get mad when I can’t perform to their level of standards. I’m 17. I deserve to be a teen. But hey, I still got college J
Senior Skip Day (Day 194)
Senior Skip Day! I of course didn’t skip because I had to present my project. Of course Ericka didn’t show up…so we lost some points because she didn’t have the visual part and didn’t email it to Ms. Banister. But in first period, we just went to the library and did work (not)… and then we had to take a test second period (AP Chemistry-there were only 3 of us and she still made us take a test) and then in English there were 6 of us so we presented out projects and then Ms. Banister bought us lunch. Which was really sweet of her. So we listened to music and ate. Then we went to Calculus where Mr. Hopkins said he didn’t want to see any seniors, so we left and went to the library. Whatever. I didn’t want to do any math either… Then we had a NHS meeting where we discussed ways to raise more money when we do Pennies for Patients.

Ides of March (Day 193)
Beware the ides of March! That’s today, right? I mean the ides means the middle and today is the closest to the middle without going over. March has 31 days so at noon it will really be the ides. I think that’s right…Well anyway, we started our annual hunger games today. As a game maker, all of the planning that Bonita, Kennedy, Caleb, and I had done was finally revealed but we hadn’t been as planned as we could have I thought. I mean the riddle I had was terrific. Nobody but Tiffany (Maurice) and Kim got it. The riddle is like “a plane took off from JFK at noon to fly to Michigan. At 3:30, it hit turbulence and the pilot lost control and the plane crashed on the border between the US and Canada. Where would they bury the survivors?” Well YOU CAN’T BURY SURVIVORS! So ha!
Pi Day (Day 192)
Happy Pi Day everyone! I don’t think anyone actually celebrates this day, but maybe it’s like a math teacher’s favorite day of the year. I’m sure at 1:59:62.5 (haha…(3.14)159625), people across America are celebrating (not). I mean lots of places sell pies…because that’s hilarious. Selling pie on pi day. Hm…Who would have thought? I really have nothing else to say. I mean, we have a march madness packet due the day we come back from spring break and a rubric for a fake interview in English, and mock interviews are in like a week. So I have to finish my resume. Maybe I should be doing that now. Oh. This week I have to focus on being prepared for…well life. I’m never prepared. And when I am I will bet it’s probably by accident. Oh and we have a clone project for English -_- which I have to since it’s just me and Ericka. I will not be doing the creative part…because that’s not me. I will do the write up and the spoken part, while I will let Ericka do the visual. She’s better at that anyway…
Boring 2 (Day 191)
In 1921, Mongolia declares independence from China (good for them) and in 1969, Apollo 9 returns to earth. Clarence Darrow (attorney of Scope’s Monkey Trial) dies in Chicago at age 80. We watched a movie today about the island of Mocha in EPI. I’ve seen it before in Mr. Sullivan’s American Gov’t class in 9th grade. It was really funny as a freshman, but as a senior, it was kind of boring. I mean I still learned a lot about economies (command, traditional, and mixed) but the context was kind of young and childish. I mean I don’t mind because I still watch Spongebob J but there were a lot of kids who hated it.
Boring (Day 190)
March 12, 1938, Nazi Germany invades Austria at Anschluss. Also, in 1956, the DOW Jones closes above 500 for the first time in history (at 500.24). In 2011, analysts reported a nuclear meltdown occurred at the Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant; a state of emergency is declared. Today, in 1945, Anne Frank was killed in the Bergen-Belsen Death camp. Clearly, there are a lot of important things that happened today in history. Unfortunately, nothing fun or exciting happened to me, which is unfortunate because I was hoping I could be in headlines J but that doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon.
